Local Spots to Check Out

Tampa Bay has a lot of local Spots that are great to visit. There are Camping locations, Local Restaurants that I like to frequent, and there are some tips for stealth camping.

Hillsborough River State Park

The Hillsborough River State Park Campground offers 112 sites, each with its own water supply, picnic table, and fire ring. There are showers, bathrooms, and a laundry room. This is an extremely popular campground, so make reservations in advance. The per-night charge of $24 per site & a reservation fee.

Fort DeSoto

Fort DeSoto is a popular beach and camping location in Tampa Bay.

They do have their own Campground Reservation System if this is a place you would like to visit and bring the Camper Van or Trailer.

Alafia River State Park

The Alafia River State Park Campground offers 30 sites, each with its own water supply, electrical (50 amp, 30 amp, 2 20 amp outlets), picnic table, and fire ring. There are showers, bathrooms, and two pavilions, and 3 glamping sites. Feel free to make reservations in advance. The per-night charge of $22 per site & a reservation fee.
